I’m an author, a foodie, a caterer, a survivor and a traveler, but not in the ways you’d expect.

Hell no! Trashy romances. Way more fun.

But you’re a foodie and a caterer…
Yup, a foodie that’s struggled with a weight problem her whole life but refuses to give up on the yummy goodness that is abundant in the world, so I adjust. And I cater when needed at The Chipman Inn in Ripton VT. Want to get married on a mountain? I’m your gal.

Tell me about the travel…
My winding path has taken me to Russia and Ukraine when they were still part of the USSR, Kenya, Tanzania, Egypt, Greece, Iceland, Scotland, Turkey, the Caribbean, Mexico, Canada, and many parts of the US. So much more to see, so much interesting stuff to eat, so much to share… Let’s do this people!

What have you survived?
Most of the normal stuff; divorce, a bad relationship, deaths of loved ones, and leukemia. CML actually, or Chronic Myeloid Leukemia, which (lucky for me) has specific, targeted, oral chemotherapy medications that control the pesky Philadelphia Chromosome and prohibit it from wreaking havoc in my bone marrow. Traveling this path has been an interesting journey.

Long-term prognosis?
Unknown, as the drugs have only been available for 15 years or so. Stay tuned.

Today?
It’s all good. I’m happily married to the man I love, live in a seacoast town in Massachusetts, and have a life full of adventure and joy. And therapy.
